California’s Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, requires the Governor to publish, at least annually, a list of chemicals known to the state to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity. The proposition requires businesses to inform Californians about exposure to such chemicals.
California states no person in the course of doing business shall knowingly and intentionally expose any individual to listed chemicals without first giving clear and reasonable warning to such individual. As a supplier, Alkota Cleaning Systems, Inc. / Power Line Industries, Inc. – DBA HotJet USA and Power Wash Industries is hereby informing all customers that some of the product we sell contains trace amounts of chemicals included in the Prop 65 list. Any company that offers products for sale in California or manufactures products in California is required to provide clear and reasonable warnings that must be posted where their products are offered for sale, displayed or at the point of sale (i.e., cash register or order counter).
When we sell our product in California, we are required to notify the purchaser of the product with this warning.
